The World is What it Is
Its funny, a quick google search reveals a whole bunch of goofy pictures of Naipaul and yet Patrick French, who writes a huge book detailing his curmudgeonly and womanizing ways, puts a picture of Naipaul as a strapping young (middle-aged?) lad on the cover. It makes me feel like, for better or for worse, Naipaul won somehow.
