The Hangover
I had heard from multiple people that this was actually pretty good. Not really a fan. I guess there were some positives about the movie. The part of the story with Ed Helms’ character and his almost-fiance was pretty funny. The way it unfolded was a good idea - to start off with the end-product of all this crazy shit happening and then have the characters attempt to retrace their steps and figure it out. The pace was quick, their discoveries were mostly incremental and certain parts of the story didn’t drag on (they disposed of the baby quickly, settled the cop car situation, then found their real car, though not necessarily in that order). At the same time they kept you guessing by not following through on every obvious set-up (even though they kept the baby alone in the car it didn’t escape and the same goes for the tiger and their car ultimately ended up alright despite being at the impound lot). On the other hand, the bearded guy, for the most part, was just a string of non-sequiturs and much of the movie was just plain stupid (not stupid-funny).
