One of the Reasons Law School Orientation is so Weird

Really, the only meaningful expression of your past is your present and future, but during orientation you’re always talking about your past.  There aren’t really many avenues during orientation to express the breadth of your person.  On a whole, though, I think orientation is a good thing as long as you realize that the point isn’t to get to know people or have other people get to know you.  That comes later.  It’s really just to get to know the names of your classmates for future reference.
